A VISIT TO MALAGA HARBOUR

INSTRUCTIONS: Find information about Málaga harbour and Aula del Mar. Use photos and write the information on your blog.

Aula del Mar in Malaga is an institution dedicated to the preservation of the marine environment since its inception in 1989. Although its headquarters are in Málaga its scope extends across the Andalusian coast. Its main areas of work include:

Environmental Education: Developing projects for schoolchildren, fishermen, coastal agents, etc, trying different themes such as fishing and responsible consumption, the conservation of marine biodiversity and the protection of beaches

Endangered Marine Species Conservation: Since 1994 Aula del Mar in Malaga, in collaboration with the Ministry of Environment of the Junta de Andalucía, is involved in the direct protection of marine mammals and turtles functioning as Recovery Center Endangered Marine Species Andalusia (CREAM)

  Research: It has influenced various camposcomo the study of migrations of sea turtles by the Andalusian coast and seagrass conservation and invertebrates mesolittoral fringe.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION GIVEN TO US  (What did I learn?):

Left the school at 09:30 with Araceli and Miguel. Then walked to the bus stop, when we got to the port we walked to the classroom from the sea and a man was explaining how the port was founded..and finally went to another building and showed us around the harbor.

My favorite urban legend is the girl of the curve: this is a girl who died 27 years ago in a curve and one day two men and a woman went through the curve and recalled the accident that girl then one of the men said : there was Teresa Fidalgo accident and then derrepente out the girl and says and dead!
