A VISIT TO MALAGA HARBOUR

Aula del Mar in Malaga is an institution dedicated to the preservation of the marine environment since its inception in 1989. Although its headquarters are in Málaga its scope extends across the Andalusian coast. Its main areas of work include:

Environmental Education: Developing projects for schoolchildren, fishermen, coastal agents, etc, trying different themes such as fishing and responsible consumption, the conservation of marine biodiversity and the protection of beaches

Endangered Marine Species Conservation: Since 1994 Aula del Mar in Malaga, in collaboration with the Ministry of Environment of the Junta de Andalucía, is involved in the direct protection of marine mammals and turtles functioning as Recovery Center Endangered Marine Species Andalusia (CREAM)

  Research: It has influenced various camposcomo the study of migrations of sea turtles by the Andalusian coast and seagrass conservation and invertebrates mesolittoral fringe.
